Unite the skies - ATC Global Exhibition and Conference18 July 2016
Bringing together the entire international air traffic management community, this year’s ATC Global Exhibition and Conference, taking place 12–14 September in Beijing, will examine the progress and trends in ATM, including the increasing use of integrated systems among aviation stakeholders, the cross-border partnerships between ANSPs and the increasing importance of industrial partnerships to the global air transport system.
Air transport is a major contributor to global economic prosperity. Civil aviation provides the only rapid worldwide transportation network, which makes it essential for global business and tourism. The air transport infrastructure – aircraft, runways, airport terminals and airspace – together form the air transport system.
Advances in technology together with continued long-term traffic growth have increased the interdependence of aircraft operators, airports and ANSPs across the globe. Collaboration is at the heart of progress in aviation, whether it be cross-border between governments; among air transport stakeholders, including airports, aircraft operators and ANSPs; or even through industrial partnerships that embrace the equipment and systems providers developing the technologies that deliver new capabilities to users.
Major regional initiatives exist lready, serving a vision of seamless skies with varying levels of integration. Industrial partnerships are emerging, with cooperation between multiple ANSPs and system suppliers. The Belt and Road Initiative, proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013, linking China with Europe via central and western Asia, will trigger a huge increase in passenger demand between Africa and Asia-Pacific over the next 15 years.
The ATC community, particularly within Asia, needs to prepare for this new ‘Silk Road’, and ATC Global provides a platform for ANSPs and other stakeholders to come together to share information, knowledge and expertise that will help rise to the challenges ahead.
ATC Global offers the opportunity to facilitate business partnerships and knowledge sharing between more than 3,500 ATM professionals from around the world, including key stakeholders from ANSPs, CAAs, government departments, airports, airlines, militaries, consultants and other industry partners.
The 2016 edition offers a comprehensive exhibition featuring international suppliers showcasing the latest technology, equipment and products that can deliver solutions and drive efficiencies for your business. Confirmed exhibitors so far include: Aerocontrol Technologies, AZIMUT, DF Nucleo, EUROCONTROL, Frequentis, Honeywell, Leonardo, NAVCANADA, Sichuan Jiuzhou, Thales and many more.
There will also be a free educational programme offering a diverse mix of strategic planning, operations, and technology-based seminars and workshops delivered by leading ATM institutions. Understand the latest trends and developments within the industry and arm yourself with the information you need to drive your business strategy forward.
A thought-leadership conference addressing the ‘what, why and how’ of the future of ATM will take place. ATC Global supports the ambition for a seamless global airspace, and the objectives of ATM transformation, harmonisation and interoperability – an ethos reflected in its 2016 theme of collaboration.
Speakers include: Zhang Rui Qing, deputy director, Air Traffic Regulation, DDG ANS at CAAC; Frank Brenner, director-general at EUROCONTROL; Igor Moiseenko, director-general of the state ATM corporation in Russia; Mark Reeves, director Asia-Pacific at FAA; Florian Guillermet, executive director at SESAR-JU; Patrik Peters, president of IFATCA; Pierre Lahourcade, international development director at ENAC; and Jonathan Astill, director alliances, airline and international affairs at NATS.
The social programme will provide extensive networking opportunities, including site visits to the ATC centre in Beijing and Beijing International Airport’s ATM tower tour. ATC Global is also the flagship get-togther of Aviation LIVE, a series of events and activities celebrating air traffic management, taking place across the host city of Beijing.
Finally, the VIP and Hosted Buyer’s Programme is exclusively open to a select number of influential industry stakeholders, helping them make the most of their time at and maximising their return from this year’s show. It allows senior representatives from ANSPs, aviation regulators, defence organisations, airports and airlines
to meet face to face to strengthen relations and discuss critical issues in the industry. ?
