Rohde & Schwarz, a world leader in the manufacture of innovative test and measurement, information and communications technology products for professional users, announced today that it is demonstrating its R&S QPS 201 next generation Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) scanner to the North American market at the AAAE Annual Meeting of US Airport Executives in San Diego - April 15-18 2018.

The R&S QPS 201, a slim-line and high-speed scanner, follows the R&S QPS 200, a TSA-certified advanced checkpoint scanner, that is deployed at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as part of the TSA's Innovation Task Force initiatives to field and demonstrate next generation security technology.

"Rohde & Schwarz continues to invest in advancing the performance and detection capability of the QPS product platform", said Scott Bausback, CEO of Rohde & Schwarz USA, Inc. "Our QPS systems are deployed and in use at airport security operations worldwide and screen hundreds of thousands of passengers every day. We are proud to have developed the first new TSA certified AIT system to deliver the most advanced threat detection, featuring an easily deployable design, high speed and highresolution
screening to speed and optimize checkpoint screening operations."

"We are delighted to have Rohde & Schwarz as a AAAE member and appreciate their expertise in RF technology to deliver new high-resolution people screening capabilities to US airports. We are honored that Rohde & Schwarz has chosen to present their latest
screening solution - the QPS 201 - here in San Diego with our members and stakeholders at our annual meeting", said Todd Hauptli, CEO of AAAE. "The theme of this year's meeting is innovation and the Rohde & Schwarz technology is just one excellent example
of the many new and innovative solutions being showcased for our airport leaders and government partners in San Diego."
