Vanderlande to Exhibit Innovative Technology at Passenger Terminal Expo 2016

Thursday, March 10, 2016 by Vanderlande

Vanderlande will demonstrate its latest automated baggage handling solutions at Passenger Terminal Expo 2016 from 15-17 March in Cologne, Germany. In particular, visitors will be able to see STACK@EASE, the manual lifting aid for flight make-up, which includes new overhead baggage reconciliation system (BRS) functionality.

Vanderlande will also showcase its total process control concept on stand 8015, where its latest innovative systems, intelligent software and lifecycle services will be showcased. In addition, the company is a one-stop shop for the design and implementation of Standard 3-compliant solutions for the hold baggage screening process.

As airports adjust to the challenges of an ever-changing market, advances in technology mean that passengers expect a stress-free journey, and airports of all sizes must provide self-boarding and self check-in facilities. They must also ensure that all baggage arrives on time at the correct destination, improving the experience for travellers and minimising the missed bag rate. This is at the heart of Vanderlande's proposition.

The global market leader in baggage handling systems helps airports to meet these demands with an innovative range of solutions. For example, its new total concept to enhance the overall experience includes: SCANNOJET, the automated passenger checkpoint; and STACK@EASE, the ergonomic manual loading aid for flight make-up that features wireless overhead label scanning for efficient baggage reconciliation.

Vanderlande will also present VIBES, which helps to keep control of every phase in the automated baggage handling system. It is a flexible, turnkey software suite that supports the total process control of airports, regardless of size or complexity. VIBES controls all aspects of an operation, from the point of entry at check-in through to final baggage reconciliation and loading.
