Vanderlande Awarded Conrtact for New Terminal at Wroclaw Airport, Poland

At the end of March 2010, Vanderlande Industries received the order from Hochtief Polska for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a baggage handling system for a new passenger terminal at Wroclaw Airport, Poland.

Vanderlande Industries was awarded the contract because it offered the best solution that resulted in the lowest lifecycle costs and optimal operational performance.

The scope includes, amongst others, 21 check-ins, integration of hold baggage screening equipment, automatic sorting to 12 chutes, a SAC computer, four flat Triplaner arrival carousels and a service package covering a period of 72 months after take-over. The total order value amounts to 1.6 million€. Take-over is scheduled for March 2011.

Wroclaw is one of the four Polish cities which was selected to host the EUFA EURO 2012 soccer games.
