G&D further expand their KVM-over-IP portfolio

KVM manufacturers Guntermann & Drunck recently expanded their portfolio with four new extender systems for KVM-over-IP. With the new series of IP extenders, the KVM experts provide their customers with ideal solutions for the growing demand of integrating KVM components into existing network infrastructures. Customers benefit from the standardisation of technology, flexibility and central administration, but also from decisive cost advantages, as existing cabling, switches and routers can continue to be used. Transmission takes place compressed via CAT cabling or optical fibres via standard IP-based networks on layer 3, with a data transmission rate of 1 Gbit/s per line.

G&D's extender systems for KVM-over-IP extend real 4K over IP

The new extender systems for KVM-over-IP support numerous signals thus providing solutions for DVI single- and dual-link, DP 1.1 and DP 1.2 at all common resolutions. With the powerful DP1.2-Vision-IP, G&D has set a new milestone that can extend real 4K@60 Hz over IP and supports resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60 Hz. G&D's IP extenders offer pixel-perfect video transmission for best possible performance and ideal hand-eye coordination. Transmission takes place compressed, thus videos are transmitted completely lossless and latency-free.

The systems are compatible and work according to G&D's mix & match concept, meaning that the technical possibilities are almost unlimited. The extender modules can also be easily combined with the ControlCenter-IP to create a powerful matrix for typical control room applications.
